Beat Winter Blues with these Top NYC Events

December 31st, 2019 | The Jetset Life

When the New York winter finally sets in, traditionally, so do the winter blues. But this year is different. This year, we are shaking our fist at the gloomy gray skies and vowing not to hide indoors. If you’re imagining Manhattanites shivering on street corners in the middle of a blizzard, think again! We have three words for you: NYC Winter Outing.

NYC Winter Outing is a program of NYC & Company that combines three of New York’s top winter events, Broadway Week, Must-See Week and Restaurant Week, into a city-wide winter extravaganza. The program will run from January 21 to February 9, 2020—after all, January and February are the perfect months to explore the city without the holiday crowds! Tickets will go on sale on January 8, 2020

NYC Broadway Week

Let’s start with the well-known NYC Broadway Week. During this time, you’ll be able to purchase 2-for-1 tickets to over 20 different Broadway shows. Do you want to see the latest sensation and 2019 Tony Award-winning musical Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of the Temptations? Or maybe you are eager to overdose on the iconic shows, like The Phantom of The Opera, Chicago or The Lion King? Whatever you prefer, this is the time to indulge in world-renowned productions!

Speaking of indulgence, Forty Four Restaurant at Royalton New York is located just a few blocks from the Theater District. Have a pre- or post-show meal at our Art Deco restaurant.

Second on the list is NYC Must-See Week. This is perfect for those who want to feel like tourists for the day or catch the latest museum exhibit that has everyone buzzing. Just like Broadway Week, you’ll find 2-for-1 tickets to major attractions like the Empire State Building or One World Observatory. If you would rather skip that, there’s still plenty to choose from. What about tickets to Brooklyn or New York Botanical Gardens? Have you taken a cruise around Manhattan on a perfect winter day? Or what about getting tickets to performances at Carnegie Hall or Lincoln Center? The list goes on.

NYC Restaurant Week

Lastly, NYC Restaurant Week… And because we know that Royalton New York guests love the art of good food, we’ve already covered this particular event. Check out our tips for NYC Restaurant Week.
