We all know the feeling of wanting our best “beach bodies” ready for the summer. But, what about those of us that want to be fit all year round? We, at The Royalton New York know just how important a race can be in motivating you to achieving your next goal. Whether it’s running, cycling, walking or swimming, we have NYC’s next big race for you this spring and summer.
Distance: 40 Miles

Start: Franklin Street and Church Street
The first biking option on our list, this tour, as it should be called, is a great opportunity to see all the five boroughs of New York, car free! Don’t have a bike? They can easily organize rentals, so you can still take part. You can even tow your 3-9 year old, or get the kids to see New York by cycling alongside them (10-17 year old only).
Distance: 13.1 Miles (Half marathon)

Start: Near the Brooklyn Museum
Proud owners of the title “the biggest half marathon in America” this 13.1-mile feat is sure to give you bragging rights among your friends. It is part of NYRR's Five-Borough Series, in case you’re interested in running in the other four boroughs of New York. Although, after running across Brooklyn Bridge, maybe you’ll have seen all you want to see.
Distance: 5 miles

Start: Central Park
Any race supported by the Nutella Cafe is worth running. Although the cafe has only been in NYC since November 14, 2018, they have wasted no time in creating an event to give people the excuse to eat more of their Nutella treats. Featuring both a kids race and an adults race, the cafe has Nutella goodies awaiting at the end of both races.
Distance: 10 miles

Start: Central Park
If you’re in training for its bigger 42km-counterpart, the TCS New York City Marathon Training Series is a great place to start. Open to everyone, not just the marathon entrants, this is a great opportunity to get a timed 10-mile PB. If you didn’t get into the marathon this year, then, this race offers credits for next year’s entrance.
Distance: 1.5k swim, 40k bike and 10k run

Have you ever wanted making waves in the Hudson River, blasting up the West Side Highway, or racing around Central Park? Then, this is for you! An international distance event, this triathlon is the perfect opportunity to test your time against the olympians.
